**** PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ****
Papers can be submitted either as full papers or as short papers in the IEEE
single-spaced two-column format using at least 10 point font size. Full papers
should not exceed 10 pages and short papers should not exceed 4 pages. Papers
must be submitted electronically in PDF format through the paper-submission website
linked from the conference website. IEEE templates for LaTeX and Microsoft Word,
as well as related information, can be found at
http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/authors/transjnl/index.html.
The conference proceedings will be published by the IEEE Communications Society.

All submissions will be evaluated using a double-blind review process. To ensure
blind reviewing, papers should be anonymized by removing author names and
affiliations, as well as by masking any information about projects and bibliographic
references, etc. that might reveal the authors' identities. Papers that are not
properly anonymized will be returned without review. Submitted papers should
describe original and previously unpublished research and are not allowed to be
simultaneously submitted or under review elsewhere.

All papers must be registered with the submission system by the abstract submission
deadline. At least one author of every accepted paper must register to the conference
not later than June 10, 2010, 12 PM (EST) and present the paper.

**** DEMONSTRATION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ****
P2P'10 will also offer the opportunity for demonstrations of operational P2P
applications and systems that exhibit novel features. Proposals for demonstrations
describing the application/system, its novel features, and the demonstration should
be submitted through the conference submission system by the demonstration deadline.
Demonstration proposals should be 2 pages in length, and should otherwise adhere to
the format required for papers. At least one proposer of every accepted demonstration
must register to the conference not later than June 10, 2010, 12 PM (EST) and give
the demonstration.

**** IMPORTANT DATES ****
Deadline for abstracts: March 29, 2010 (12 PM EST)
Deadline for papers: April 05, 2010 (12 PM EST)
Deadline for demonstrations: May 10, 2010
Decision notification: May 31, 2010 (papers and demonstrations)
Camera-ready papers: June 14, 2010

**** VENUE ****
The IEEE P2P'10 conference will be held on the campus of Delft University
of Technology, which was founded in 1842 by King William II and which is the
oldest and largest technical university in the Netherlands. It is well
established as one of the leading technical universities in the world.
Delft is a small, historical town dating back to the 13th century. Delft has
many old buildings and small canals, and it has a lively atmosphere. The city
offers a large variety of hotels and restaurants. Many other places of interest
(e.g., Amsterdam and The Hague) are within one hour distance of traveling.
Traveling to Delft is easy. Delft is close to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
(60 km, 45 min by train), which has direct connections from all major airports
in the world. Delft also has excellent train connections to the rest of Europe.

Chamada de Trabalhos do VI Workshop de Redes Dinâmicas e Sistemas P2P

(WP2P 2010)

CALL FOR PAPERS
WeeP 2009: 1st Workshop on Dependability and Security in P2P

In conjunction with LADC 2009 (Fourth Latin-American Symposium on Dependable Computing)
ORGANIZED BY: Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG)
CO-SPONSORED BY: SBC - Brazilian Computing Society and IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance

João Pessoa, Paraíba, BRAZIL
September 1 - 4, 2009
http://www.sbc.org.br/ladc

Peer to peer and self-organizing systems hold the promise of offering services and information anywhere and anytime, with better scalability, improved reliability and lower costs. This is done by eliminating the necessity of any statically designed infrastructure or any centralized administrative authority. It is in the nature of such networks to be self-organizing, since additionally, entities are allowed to join or leave the network in an arbitrary manner, making the whole system highly dynamic. Nonetheless, the issue of designing dependable and secure systems that can cope with the high dynamism and self-organization nature of overlay networks is a real challenge. Therefore, many problems should be addressed. What models are most appropriate for dynamic systems? What kind of consistency requirements can be ensured? How to deploy services and data in order to achieve high availability and better utilization of peer capacities? How to construct an overlay and routing infrastructure which is scalable and fault-tolerant? How to build efficient and secure search mechanisms? How can applications adapt themselves to the instability of the system and links, due to arbitrary leaves and joins, mobility, failures, congestion and collisions.

This workshop aims to bring together researchers from different domains to create a forum for investigating the many aspects of providing dependability and security in self-organizing, large-scale and dynamic systems. Contributions may span a broad range of topics, including:

- models for dynamic and self-organizing systems;
- scalability and reliability of dynamic systems;
- P2P storage and content distribution;
- P2P performance and robustness;
- security and trust management in dynamic systems;
- P2P Grids;
- P2P over Manets;
- applications and tests.

Only original papers (not published or under review elsewhere) should be submitted. All submissions must be made electronically through the conference web site.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
Papers should be written in English and can be submitted in the following categories: Regular Papers describing original research, Practical Experience Reports describing an experience or a case study. Regular Papers and Practical Experience Reports should be no longer than 6 pages, IEEE style double-column format, respectively, including figures, tables, references, and appendices. The font size should be 10 points.
