THE 25th ACM SYMPOSIUM ON APPLIED COMPUTING
22-26 March 2010, Sierre, Switzerland
ACM SAC'10
For the past twenty-four years, the ACM Symposium on Applied Computing
has been a primary gathering forum for applied computer scientists,
computer engineers, software engineers, and application developers
from around the world. SAC 2010 is sponsored by the ACM Special
Interest Group on Applied Computing (SIGAPP), and is hosted by the
University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland (HES-SO)and the
Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) Sierre, Switzerland.
ORIGINAL PAPERS (Double blind reviewed)
Authors are invited to submit original papers in all areas of
experimental computing and application development for the technical
program via the various tracks hosted by SAC 2010. Peer groups with
expertise in the track focus area will blindly review submissions to
that track. Accepted papers will be published in the annual conference
proceedings. The submission must not identify the authors (self-reference
should be in the third person) to facilitate double blind review.
Authors are allowed up to 8 pages according to the paper template,
but more than 5 pages in the camera ready version will be
charged 80USD per extra page.
MULTIMEDIA AND VISUALIZATION TRACK (MMV)
The themes Multimedia and Visualization are concerned with principles,
tools and processes that improve our ability to understand, create,
manage, visualize and maintain multimedia in general and interactive
media in particular. The aim of this track is to bring together
researchers from academia and industry who are actively engaged both
in theoretical and practical aspects of these multidisciplinary
themes, including those interested in discussing issues relative to
Human-Media Interaction. Topics of interest and and further
information is found in the track website
(http://www.icmc.usp.br/~acmsac/mmv10)
MTAP JOURNAL SPECIAL ISSUE
As in the previous edition of the MMV Track at SAC'09, the Multimedia
Tools and Applications Journal (MTAP) will publish a special issue
with papers from the ACM SAC'10 MMV track: authors of the best papers
will be invited to submit a substantially extended version for their
work to the special issue
(http://www.springer.com/computer/information+systems/journal/11042).
